Caldrea
I am smitten over these products! If you have never heard of them before you might be more familiar with Mrs. Meyer's.
If I understand correctly, Caldrea products were created by the daughter of Mrs. Meyer. I'm not sure which came first but Caldrea is a little more pricey than Mrs. Meyer's.
They are both equally luscious. I happen to like the more complex scents that Caldrea puts out such as Sandlewood Riceflower, which is a mixture of mandarin and cedarwood. The Basil Blue Sage is a blend of basil, blue sage and rosemary. Similar to Mrs. Meyer's Basil scent.
Both products use essential oils and are environmental friendly.
I happen to enjoy cleaning more when the fragrance is pleasant. As housekeepers and the ones who set the tone and the atmosphere of our homes, I can justify spending a little bit more on something that works well and has a pleasant scent at the same time.
If you do the math, however, the replacement cost of these is really not much more! You can save your sprayer and only purchase the refill bottle. All you need is 1/4 cup cleaner added to your empty bottle and fill the rest up with water!
So, if you can save some extra pennies here and there, why not splurge a little and make cleaning your home a little more pleasurable!
Happy Homekeeping!
(Caldrea does not know who I am and is not paying me to say any of this. I just simply like to share when I find something I really like!)

Boys Will Be Boys....
We had so much fun this past week with all of the tennis activities. It is such a joy to watch Dalton and the
others play!
There seems to always be some time squeezed in between matches for some good ol' fashioned "goofing off"!
There is never a dull moment with these boys!
We went to Tulsa on Wednesday and got a pretty early start. Packed lots of snacks and goodies to share with the team.
There is never a dull moment with these boys! They always seem to make me smile or laugh!
On the way home later in the afternoon we saw a beautiful display of the sun shining through the clouds. So beautiful!
Having a great spring break so far! How about you?

Busy Week!
So proud of Dalton!
This past tuesday he and the GHS BPA team (Business Professionals of America) headed up to Tulsa for the two day state event.
Dalton took 3rd place in state for his category "Extemporaneous Speech"!
There were 38 competitors in this category, a big jump from last year where there were just a little over 20, in which he took 5th!
We are so proud of him for his commitment to BPA and his desire to do his best!
The 3rd place award was a $2000 dollar scholarship to OKC University. The Nationals will be held in Chicago next month!!!
This has been such a great experience for him to really show his speaking skills and leadership qualities, as he was voted President this year!
Yesterday was a trip to Ada for a tennis tournament. Dalton played singles yesterday and it was so much fun to watch!
He won his 3rd match to Deer Creek and boy was it good!! He won 10:8 in a super tie-breaker!!
(I hope my tennis "lingo" is up to par. I'm still getting used to all the scoring as it can get a little confusing to me at times. I think I'm getting it s-l-o-w-l-y!)
It was a long day for D. Up at 5am, 2hr drive to Ada and then crashed on the way back!
Here are the pics for the week!
I don't know if these are in order but until Blogger updates it's IPhone app I guess it will have to do :)

Chocolate Chip Scones
Cassidy was invited to a breakfast this morning at a friends and some of her girlfriends requested "Chocolate Chip Scones"!
I have tried different recipes that were pretty good but I decided to google to find a new one.
This is what I found and they turned out pretty good!

I think I have discovered that making scones is probably more about technique that it is a certain recipe.
Recipes are important but when you start comparing scone recipes they are all very similar.
The less you "fuss" with the dough the more light and fluffy they will be. Very much like a biscuit.
I personally like to use a round cutter but it's fine to cut them in the more traditional "triangles".
So go check this recipe out and let me know what you think!
I was pretty pleased!
Have a great day!

Puttery Day
Had a little sick baby girl home today! Annalee hasn't felt very well since last Sat so I figure this was a stay at home and rest day. Its always healthy to catch up on some much needed sleep!
Spent most of the day watching movies (Andy Griffith, Into the West) snuggling on the couch. We managed to squeeze in some chocolate chip cookies too! Hopefully she will be much better tomorrow!
I also managed to make some homemade vanilla yogurt today. If you have never made homemade yogurt, don't feel intimidated to try it! It is so delicious and EASY to make! Go to The Frugal Girl and click her FAQ button and you will her find her recipe there! I personally think her recipe is the best one out there and the most easy to follow. Not to mention her whole website is great!
She has plain and vanilla. I used the plain recipe because Paul and I like it that way but the kids like the vanilla so I tried the vanilla last time and now I am hooked! Yummy!
Then, as if chocolate chip cookies weren't enough, I had to go and make a Banana Chip Snack Cake! Well what else was I suppose to do with bananas that were getting a little ripe?? Thats right! I don't like to waste things!! HaHA!!
Well, the big kids just got home from all of their after school activities, so I need to go check on dinner. So there you have it! A puttery day with a sick lil' girl.
Thankful for Beautiful Sunshine, falling leaves and bright blue skies today!!
Natalee
